I'm a cyclist, and unfortunately this could well be true. I hope not, especially with kids.
I've seen this during a charity century, when a pace-line of about 8 roadies flew by and yelled.
Without a moments thought I yelled back a few choice words, and told him to come back, because I wanted to talk to him! They didn't miss a stroke!
You know, if you don't happen to have a car door around sometimes it's just worth the $15 to sacrifice a pike pump to test the schmoe's bike handling skills with a locked up front wheel.
Hi Gary, thanks for your comments. We did go on a bike ride but it was uneventful. Stu is fiction.....but I know whereof you speak. I constantly look out for people opening doors. ( My real life son was "doored" once and still has the scar to show for it ). What I usually do is make a story out of an event...which is what I did for this one.
